1. How do I sign my child up?
Visit www.trianariverhawks.com/registrations to complete your player's registration.
If you have any questions during the registration process, feel free to contact us. We'd be happy to help.
2. What are the program fees?
Our goal is to provide a competitive travel basketball experience while keeping costs as affordable as possible for families.
New Players
$160 Due at Registration
Your initial payment includes:
Custom TR Basketball game uniform
First month's team fee
Annual insurance
Team registration
Administrative costs
After the initial payment, the monthly team fee is $95 per month.
Returning Players
Returning players who already have their TR Basketball uniform simply pay the $95 monthly team fee.
The monthly fee helps cover:
Gym rentals
Referee costs
Practice equipment
Basketballs and training aids
Team operations
Player development resources
Team activities
Our mission is to provide a quality basketball experience while keeping costs as affordable as possible for every family.
Please Note: All registration and monthly fees are non-refundable.
3. Where and when are practices held?
We currently practice at two locations to provide athletes with multiple opportunities for development throughout the week.
Triana Municipal Building
Tuesday
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Thursday
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
John Hunt Park
Wednesday
6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Sunday
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Practice schedules may occasionally change due to tournaments or facility availability. If a Sunday practice conflicts with a tournament, that session will be rescheduled whenever possible. Any schedule changes will be communicated to families in advance.
4. What ages do you accept?
We currently offer teams for boys and girls ages 8–14, depending on roster availability and seasonal team needs.
5. Is this a faith-based program?
Yes.
TR Basketball is built on Christian values and is committed to developing the complete student-athlete. We emphasize discipline, accountability, integrity, servant leadership, and respect while helping players grow both on and off the basketball court.
While our faith guides the culture of our program, players and families of all backgrounds are welcome.
6. Does my child need basketball experience?
Not at all.
We welcome players of every skill level. Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or already has competitive experience, our coaching staff focuses on teaching strong fundamentals, building confidence, improving basketball IQ, and helping every athlete reach their full potential.
7. Will my child play in games or tournaments?
Yes.
TR Basketball participates in local and regional tournaments throughout the season. Our goal is to prepare athletes through quality practices and competitive opportunities while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and long-term development over wins and losses.
8. What should my child bring to practice?
Players should arrive on time with:
Basketball shoes
Athletic clothing
Water bottle
Basketball (if available)
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Being prepared helps every player get the most from each practice.
9. How can I support TR Basketball?
There are many ways to help us continue serving youth throughout North Alabama.
You can support the program by:
